Morella "Ella" F. Johnson Morella "Ella" F. Johnson, age 77, of Casstown, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born on May 21, 1935 in Pike County, Kentucky, to the late Walter and Ora Chapman Reynolds. Her husband of 36 years, Hiram K. Johnson, survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Loretta May Powell of Troy, Ohio; stepson, Kenneth C. Dorothy Johnson of Dayton, Ohio; stepdaughter, Rosemary Mees of Sidney, Ohio; sisters: Yantice Varney of McAndrews, Kentucky, Delphine Rick Roller of Fletcher, Ohio, Barbara May of Westerville, Ohio, and Evelyn Bridger of Columbus, Ohio; brothers: Olen Reynolds of Troy, Ohio, Orvin Marilyn Reynolds of South Shore, Kentucky, Gerria Barb Reynolds of McAndrews, Kentucky; grandchildren: David Emily Powell, Christine Creager, Lee Mees, Chris Mees, Bruce Mees, Erik Mees, Angie O'Reilly, and Jessica Powers; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Helen Lewis of Kentucky and Gladys Weaver of Arcanum, Ohio; brother-in-law, George Johnson of Troy, Ohio; family friend, Cammie Grove; and very special great-grand-dog, Brodie Powell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her son, Carl E. May; one grandson, Daniel C. Powell; and brothers: James, Edward, Thomas, and Garrell Reynolds. She was a member of Piqua Freewill Baptist Church and attended Christiansburg Free Church. Her life was talking to family and friends on the telephone. Services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 4-8PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
