Miriam L. Frye, 67, of Troy, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000 at Kettering Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 30, 1933 in Troy to the late Herbert K. and Thelma Lowder Frye, she graduated from Troy High School in a951, was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy, and was an administrative secretary with Hobart Manufacturing Co. PMI, Troy, for 46 years.

She is survived by a sister and b rother-in-law, Phyllis and Clyde Smitley of Troy; and aunt, Mildred Swope of Lexington, KY; a niece, Melissa Smitley Duffey and her husband, Michael Duffey of Centerville; nephews, Jeffrey Smitley of Rochester, NY, and Chris Smitley and his wife Cheri Smitley, of Chillicothe; three great-nephews and three great-nieces, Chianna, MacKenzie, Megan and Matthew Smitley and Jared and Evan Duffey; and numerous cousins and friends.

She was precededin death by her parents, a brother, Herbert Frye; niece, Kathleen Smitley; and a great-nephew, Eli Duffey.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Carman officiating.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.

Friends may call from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
