MILDRED WILLIAMSON

MILDRED WILLIAMSON went to her Heavenly Home, March 18, 2015 at the age of 106 years, 361 days. She is survived by her son, Gerry and daughter-in-law, Penny Williamson.  Also, her precious grandchildren Karen Foster, Linda Bundy, Mark Bundy, Jody Dodd, Kate Williamson, Jim Williamson, Tom Williamson, Susie Anderson, Andrea Anderson, John Williamson, Peggy Burks, Mel Beckner and Angie Hiegel, 23 great grandchildren, 38 great great grandchildren and one great, great, great grandchild.  Her youngest sister Fay Tyler also survives and nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Ivin and Maude (Brown) Hart, husband Kenneth, Sisters Ada Folck and Miriam Dohner, brother Charles "Bud" Hart, her daughter and son-in-law, Marietta and Paul Bundy and son and daughter-in-law Kenny "KW" and Peach.  Also, grandson, Joe Williamson and great great grandson Thomas Williamson.

Family was important to Mildred.  She delighted in telling ones about get-togethers with her family.  She found it special that her niece Joy Caden and great great granddaughter Brandi shared her birth date.

Living nearly 107 years Mildred had many life experiences.  She worked on their farm and had numerous jobs "in town", most involved caring for people.  She enjoyed reminiscing about Miami Co. history and was passionate about cooking and gardening (vegetables and flowers).  As a resident of Koester Pavilion she made many friends and loved playing BINGO and attending musical performances.  Mildred was a favorite diner at K's Hamburgers and celebrated her birthday at K's for many years.  Her friend Steve Baker, WHIO TV, documented some of those celebrations.

Her family is grateful for the care that she received by the staff at Koester Pavilion and from Hospice of Miami County.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Chaplain Ed Ellis, Hospice of Miami County, officiating.  Burial at Casstown Cemetery will follow.  Friend may call from 2-4 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
