Mildred Franks, 91, of Troy passed away Sunday, January 4, 2009. She was born in Jarrow, England, May 5, 1917 to the late Herbert and Evelyn Moreton. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Dan Synan of Troy, and son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Margie Franks of Queensland Australia; grandchildren: Mark and Justine Franks of Perth, Australia, Michael and Amie Synan of Mason, Ohio, Jane Franks of Sydney, Australia, and Craig Synan of Troy, Ohio; great-grandchildren: Sallie of Perth, Australia, Alyxandra and Keegan Synan of Mason. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franks in 1981, a grandchild, Yvonne Franks, a sister, Dorothy Peart and a brother, Herbert Moreton. Prior to moving to Troy in 1966 with her husband and family, they had resided in Sydney, Australia. Mrs. Franks was a world traveler throughout her life. She was very devoted to her family and will be dearly missed. There will be no visitation. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Health Partners of Miami County, 1300 N.
