Mildred E. Border, 94, of Troy, Ohio died on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the Harborside Healthcare Center, Troy, Ohio. She was born on February 3, 1912 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio to the late Harley and Hazel Smith Coppock. She married Lowell Border in 1936 and he precedes her in death in 1993. She is survived by two children, son and daughter-in-law; Robert and L9olita Border of Tipp City, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law; Joan and Al Moored of Queenstown, Maryland; brother and sister-in-law; Donald and Ruth Coppock of Roswell, New Mexico; three granddaughters, Shana Boyle of Cincinnati, OH; Rochelle Rogers of Tipp City, OH; Beth Hobson of Denton, MD; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Cade and Austin Rogers; Cicely and Miranda Hobson. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, two brothers, John and Orville Coppock. Mildred was formerly a long time resident of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. Mildred's front porch next to Klopfer's Grocery was the site of many high school and club bake sales; she was a 4-H advisor, enjoyed playing cards and visiting with family and friends. She was a past member of Pleasant Hill Village Council, Troy Moose Lodge Women's Auxiliary and Troy Senior Citizens Club. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2006 at 2:00pm at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with Rev. James Brown officiating.
