Mickey Hamer, 69, of Troy, Ohio passed away on May 25, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center.  He was born on January 16, 1956 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Edward and Marjorie (Donovan) Hamer.

Mickey is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jill; his children: Tim, Mike, Jackie and R.J.; siblings: Ed, Ginny, Margie and Max; and grandchildren: Landon, Rory, Marshall, and Charlotte Jane.

Mickey graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors Degree.  He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church.   He was an active volunteer and board member of Wilson Health, Shelby County CASA,  Shelby County United Way, and Habitat for Humanity Miami and Shelby County.   He retired from Cargill as the Site Lead in Sidney and served on the Cargill Cares Foundation.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH.
