Michael Mikey Thomas Sawchek, 9 of Troy, died peacefully on Monday November 5, 2001 at his home of cancer. Mikey is a third grade student at Concord Elementary School. He enjoyed karate, swimming and his go-kart. He was born to John and Mary Catherine Sawchek on October 13, 1992. In addition to his parents, Mikey is survived by his brother, Christopher at home, his grandparents, Tom and Mary Margaret Caughell of Rockwood, TN and his grandmother, Elizabeth Sawchek of Troy. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Michael Sawchek. He is also survived by several aunt, uncles, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers, contribuions may be made to the family through Baird Funeral Home or the Michael Sawchek Fund through Fifth Third Bank, Troy, Ohio.
