MICHAEL J. SMITH, age 53, of Troy, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy, OH.  He was born in Blythe, CA on August 19, 1961 to Joe Earl Smith of Covington, OH and the late Sandra Lee (Stiffler) Smith.  His wife, Cindy (Duncan) Smith, survives.

Michael is also survived by three children: Joshua Varady of Conover, OH, Danielle Smith of Piqua, OH and Michael Smith of Troy, OH; one brother: Tim Smith of Lockport, NY; and four granddaughters: Mackenzine, Emily, Taylor and Haylee.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

Michael was a plumber and truck driver.  He was the best father and grandfather.
