Obituary

Michael Oscar Shollenberger age 67 of Piqua, Ohio died Friday November 26, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Oscar and Letitia Iris James Shollenberger. He was married to his wife of 44 years, Sandy Theresa Haines Shollenberger who survives. Michael is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Christopher DiRocco of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; adopted son, Andrew Terry of Toledo, Ohio; and grandson, Vincent Michael DiRocco. He was a foster parent for a number of years, taking care of eighty children. Michael graduated from Dixie High School, New Lebanon in 1963. He attended the Methodist church. He was a Piqua Youth Soccer Coach for seven years leading the team to first place for six of those seven years. He was a Nascar racing fan of Rusty Wallace and loved fishing. He was an employee of Hobart Brothers Company from 1963 to present. Services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends from 9:00AM-11:00AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
