Merrill E. Boone, 77, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Harborside Healthcare Center in Troy, Ohio. He was born on September 18, 1926 in Millheim, PA to the late Carl N. and Sarah B. Brown Boone. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys M. Boone in 1979. He is survived by his second wife, Roseanne C. Grater Boone, wife of 14 years. He has three children, Son & Daughter-in-law: Lewis E. and Sheila Boone of Rome, NY; Daughters & Son-in-law: Mrs. Keven Debra Kendell of Dayton, Ohio, and Laura A. Boone of Fairfield, Ohio. He also had two step-children; Nancy Jo Bowman of San Diego, CA; and Frederick Michael Grater of Salem, MO. He also has a brother surviving, Paul R. Boone of Bellefonte, PA. He has five grandchildren; Jennifer and Trevor Boone; Caleb, Rebecca and Timothy Kendell. Also step-grandchildren, Daniel, Susan, and Elizabeth Bowman. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy, Ohio and he also served in the Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of Penn State University, University Park, PA in 1952 with as B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He retired from Brown-Bridge, Kimberly-Clark in 1993 after 20 years of service. The Rev. Dr. James C. Wilson II will be officiating the service. Contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio. Burial will be in Woodward Cemetery, Woodward, PA.
