Merlin E. Flory Merlin E. Flory, 91, formerly of Troy, more recently of Sandusky, OH, died Sunday, February 17, 2008, at the Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland, OH. He was born December 10, 1916 in Darke County, OH, to the late Sylvan E. and Flora Stitcher Flory. He was married to Evelyn E. Longenecker Flory who preceded him in death on April 21, 2003. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Flory Lahman and David C. Lahman of Huron, OH; two grandchildren: Julie and Steve Mack and Jennifer and Guy Villa IV; and two great-grandchildren: Katelyn Mack and Alexander Mack. Mr. Flory was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse, Evelyn E. Longenecker Flory. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was employed by Hobart Brothers Company for 45 years. A private family service will be held with burial at Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
