Merlia Kay Smith died at Grandview Hospital, Dayton on Saturday, August 25, 2001. She is survived by her mother, Rhea A. Buckles Brammer; sons, George Pierce and Joshua Brammer both of Troy, Ohio; sisters, Sally Byrkett, Melanie Stokes and Tabert Thomas; two grandchildren, Alex and Robert Reed Brammer. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Robert Brammer. Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Tipp City High School. She formerly was employed as a nurse's aid at Stouder Memorial Hospital, Troy, Ohio. A memorial service for Mrs. Smith will be at 7:00PM Thursday, August 30 at Baird Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to American Lung Association.
