Melissa Ann Gates Voorhees, age 24 of Troy, Ohio died Monday, August 12, 2002. Born December 10, 1977 in Troy of Gary and Leslie Browning Gates of Troy. She is the wife of Travis D. Voorhees whom she married September 18, 1998. She is the mother of Xavier and Rileigh; sister of Eric Gates; granddaughter of Betty Allen and her husband, Mayford Allen; daughter-in-law of Dene and Rhonda Voorhees and Cora and Philip Morrow; niece of several aunts and uncles and cousin of many. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Voorhees; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Voorhees; Ryan Voorhees; Philip Morrow Jr. and Allison Voorhees. A 1996 Graduate of Newton High School, she was an employee of F&P America. Memorial contributions may be made to the Melissa Ann Gates Voorhees Children's Educational Fund.
