MAXINE I. MOFFITT

Maxine I. Moffitt, age 98, formerly of Troy, OH and more recently of Springfield, OH passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Springfield.

Maxine was born on January 22, 1917 in Circleville, OH to the late Clifton and Lida (Goodman) Spayth.  She was married to Charles V. Moffitt who preceded her in death on September 16, 1986.

Maxine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Robert L. and Lou Ann Moffitt of Troy; daughter and son-in-law: Nancy J. and Carl Meskimen of Sarasota, FL; grandson: Derek and Rebekah Moffitt of Troy; great-grandchildren: Andrew James Moffitt and Elaina Grace Moffitt; and step-grandchildren: David Meskimen and Lori Meskimen Black. In addition to her parents and her husband, Maxine was preceded in death by three brothers including her twin brother, Eugene Spayth and two sisters.

Maxine was a 1935 graduate of Springfield High School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy. She retired from Hobart Brothers Company after serving in the billing department. She was very proud of her grandson and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:30AM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:30AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
