Maxie L. "Max" Current, age 85, , of Troy, OH passed away on January 30, 2026 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born on April 10, 1940 in Troy to the late Walter Current and Dorothy (Courtney) Cox.

Max is survived by his wife of 63 years: Carol J. (Clark) Current; son: Max L. Current II (Susan) of Troy; daughters: Mindy Current of Troy and Missy Severt of Tipp City; grandchildren: Tyler, Jake, Cody, Trina and Ashley; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Mayleigh, Joseph, William, and Matthew. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Bill Current; sister: Joy Creager; and son Matthew Current.

Max retired from Hobart Corp. after 36 years of service and after working at IKON for 5 years. He was a US Airforce veteran, a member of American Legion Post 0586 Tipp City and a follower of his grandkids sports activities.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will take place at Dayton National Cemetery.
