Maurice ''Dale'' Bashore Sr., 81, of Troy, Ohio passed out of this life on Monday, Feb. 9, 2004 after an extended illness. He was born on August 2, 1922 in Troy, Ohio to the late Henry ''Mike'' and Sarah Butz Bashore. Along with his parents preceding him in death, he also is preceded by two grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sue Harrod Bashore and nine children, Carolyn Martin of Tipp City, OH; Mike Bashore and Liz Farrell of West Hills, CA; Nancy and Dan Hiles of Apple Valley, CA; Harold and Terri Bashore of Troy, Ohio; Dale Jr. and Gloria Bashore of Troy, Ohio; Rodger Bashore-Davis of Tacoma, WA; Norma Bashore of Tacoma, WA; Rex and Melissa Bashore of Eaton, Ohio and John Bashore of Spokane, WA. Mr. Bashore has 24 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of Troy Moose Lodge, served as past Governor; US Navy veteran of W.W. II; Lifetime member of Troy Fish and Game; and a avid WACO enthusiast. He was a member of Troy High School class of 1940. He delivered for Tweeds Cigar Store prior to Owning and Operating Bob's Shop into the 1980's. He retired from Hobart Brothers in 1990 after over 10 years of service. After retirement, he drove for SCOPE of Miami County for 7 years. The minister will be Robert Vincent. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, Ohio will military honors on Friday.
