Maudie Ellen Frees Maudie Ellen Frees, age 69, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Koester Pavilion, Troy. She was born on December 11, 1943 in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late William and Bertha Marie Riley Hereford. Her husband, Lester Frees, Sr., preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Lester Frees, Jr., Jerry Carter, Gary Frees, Brian Frees, Todd Frees, Robin Hawkins, and Faith Frees; brother, Charles Hereford; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ellen was preceded in death by one daughter, Rita, and ten brothers and sisters. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ellen was formerly employed with Spring Hill Nurseries and Mencisk's Steak House. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio.
