Mary Alice Cusac Young age 83 of Troy, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at her residence. Mary Alice was born June 13, 1926 in Hancock County, Ohio the daughter of Ralph and Winifred Withrow Cusac. She is remembered in love of her family, knitting and baking cookies. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Norris Young; daughters and son-in-law, Alice Young and Janie and Bill Hershberger; grandchildren, Lucas, Joshua, Jacob and Alicia Hershberger; great-granddaughter, Emma; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Ann Cusac of Troy; aunts, Martha Brenner and Irene Withrow of Findlay; one niece, several nephews, and special friends including Julie Brewer, Patty Taynor, and Doris Beeson. She was a 1944 Troy High School graduate and also graduated from the Government Cadet Nursing Program of Miami Valley Hospital in 1947. She was a Registered Nurse at Stouder Memorial Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Mary Alice was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Van Buren, Ohio; attended Cove Spring Church and was a member of the Cove Spring Grange. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Baird Funeral Home Troy, Ohio. Interment will be in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 6-8PM with grange services to follow.
