Mary A. Walters Mary A. Walters, 61, of Troy, passed away Wednesday June 6, 2007 at the Ohio State University Hospital East after a lengthy illness. Mary was born on August 2, 1945 in Salina, Kansas to Mary Lu Wiles and the late Anthony Kolakowski. Mary is survived by her husband, Ken Walters of 35 years. She is also survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer & Rusty Speakman of Boulder, CO and Julie & Jesse Blair of Troy; sons and daughters-in-law, John & Sarah Walters of Troy and Jim & Shelly Walters of Piqua; brothers and sisters-in-law, John & Becky Kolakowski and Jim & Wanda Kolakowski; sister, Faith Dunn; and three grandchildren, Madison & Macy Walters and Emilie Treadway. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy, the Troy Horseshoe Club, and the NHPA National Horseshoe Pitcher's Association. She was a retired Registered Nurse at Dettmer & Stouder Hospitals in Troy and Grandview Hospital in Dayton. Services will be held Monday June 11, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with Rev. Theron Smith officiating. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Family Abuse Shelter of Miami County or Hospice of Miami County.
