Mary E. Swallow Mary E. Swallow, 84, of Troy, Ohio, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Harborside Health Care Center, Troy. She was born September 2, 1923, in New Paris, Ohio, to the late Ora and Martha Musselman Ross. She was married to Herschel L. Swallow who preceded her in death in 1980. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Doug and Shirley Swallow and Ron and Delores Swallow all of Troy, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Perry Sheafer also of Troy; seven grandchildren: Bill Sheafer, Steve Sheafer, Ronda Hershberger, Raegan Schneider, Stacy Landis, Jenny Grattan and Jeff Fugate; and thirteen great-grandchildren In addition to her parents and her husband, Herschel, Mrs. Swallow was preceded in death by her son, Philip Edward Swallow, infant daughter, and brothers: Glen and Paul Ross. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and the Blooming Garden Club. She also enjoyed working in her yard. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Mrs. Swallow formerly worked at Miami Central Schools and retired from Arc Abrasive. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with interment to follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Piqua, Ohio.
