MARY L. DAVIS

Mary L. Davis, age 86, of Troy; formerly of Casstown passed away at the Upper Valley Medical Center Troy on Monday, December 2, 2013.  She was born on December 31, 1926 in Troy to the late Clyde and Alice (Johnston) Starry. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack M. Davis; and her sister Marjorie Gray.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Georgianna (Davis) Farace of Troy; sister, Doris Lewis of Troy; brother, Herbert "Jerry" (Carol) Starry of Fletcher; grandsons, Scott (Tawnja) Arnett of Pleasant Hill, Brad (Toni) Arnett of Covington and Greg (Shirley) Arnett of Covington; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was a member of the Troy Senior Citizens. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, cooking, playing cards and her grandchildren. She was the retired owner/operator of the Cut n' Curl Beauty Shop in Casstown.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Rev. Christine Mertz officiating.  Burial will take place in Casstown Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30PM on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, Ohio  45373.
