Mary Catherine Sawchek, age 62, of Troy, OH, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023, after an extended illness at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She was born on January 10, 1961, in Columbus, OH, to Tom and Mary Margaret (Hornburg) Caughell.

Mary is survived by her husband of 32 years: John Sawchek of Troy; son: Christopher Sawchek of Dayton; siblings: Susan Shroyer, FL, Janet Borgstadt, Phoenix, AZ, and Michael (Jodene) Caughell of Troy, OH; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her son: Michael "Mikey" Sawchek; and brother: Stephen Caughell.

Mary was a graduate of Milton-Union High School and Wright State University. She worked as an LPN.

Private family service will be held at their convenience. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
