Mary J. Pearson, age 77, of Troy. OH passed away at her residence on January 9, 2024.  She was born on February 21, 1946 in Piqua to the late Raymond Claire and Thelma Eileen (Kinnison) Motter.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law:  Angela Kay (Tim) Hutchinson of Troy, Rebecca Lynn (Spencer) Griswold of Troy and Trudy Irene (Edward) Angel of Casa Grande, AZ; son: Mark Allen (Meagan) Pearson of Rockingham, NC; siblings: Marion Ray Motter of Xenia, Carolyn Fiebiger of Piqua, Kimberly (Walter) Moore of FL and Dale (Debbie) Knife of Piqua; nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Neil Pearson; sister: Claire Eileen Oakes; grandparents: Ray and Mary Motter: grandson: Keith Allen Skaggs; and great granddaughter: Amberlee Skaggs.

Mary was a member of Troy Baptist Church.  She was a longtime employee with Troy Daily News and Piqua Daily Call.  Mary was also a member of Troy Senior Citizens Center.  She loved playing cards.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Troy Baptist Church with Rev. David Thomasson officiating.  Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday at the church.  Private interment will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Miami Memorial Park.
