Mary Catherine Mote, 92, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at Upper Valley Medical Center after an extended illness. She is survived by children: David Mote, Barbara Hurst, Richard Mote, Rodger Mote, Dale Mote and Carl Mote; 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bessie Brumbaugh Gilbert; her husband, Elmer Earl Mote; one sister, Esther Laughman; three brothers, Samuel Gilbert, Charles Robert Gilbert and Paul Gilbert and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Mote was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. Visitation will be Friday, June 21 from 6-8pm at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. A service will be held at 10:00am Saturday, June 22 at Barid Funeral Home with Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Interment will be in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, Ohio.
