Mary Marcia Jenkins

Mary Marcia Jenkins, age 90, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the SpringMeade Health Center, Tipp City, Ohio.  She was born on July 19, 1923 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Claude Wilkinson and Mildred (Fleming) Wilkinson.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Susan Thaxton of Troy, Ohio; Claudia Sloan of Odenton, Maryland; and Joan Lillard of Lexington, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Abigail Collins, Amy Richardson, Angeline Burton, Brian Thaxton, Lacey Herrera; and Jesse Lillard; and thirteen great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jenkins and her daughter, Julie Jenkins.

Marcia was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy and the Estero Methodist Church in Estero, Florida.  She was a homemaker and a nursery school teacher in Tipp City, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on May 3, 2014 at the Riverside Cemetery Chapel in Troy, Ohio with the Rev. Allen Marheine officiating.  Interment will be held in the Riverside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00PM on May 3, 2014 at the cemetery chapel.  A luncheon for family and friends will be held in the church social room following the interment.
