Mary P. Elleman Coate, 90, of St. Joseph, Michigan and formerly of Troy, Ohio died on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph, Michigan. She was born on December 15, 1914 in Monroe Township, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Coate, he passed on May 6, 2001. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Gary L. and Patricia Coate of St. Joseph, Michigan and formerly of Troy, Ohio. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Todd A. Coate of Minneapolis, MN and Kelly L. Coate of London, England. Also three great-grandchildren; Killian and Ridley Coate, both of Minneapolis and Benjamin Rosewell of London, England. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Troy, Ohio. She was a graduate of Milton Union High School. Services will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 2:00PM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy with the Rev. Al Bastin officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Contributions may be made to Donors Favorite Charity; American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
