Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' Burns Johnson, age 89, of Moulton, AL; formerly of Troy and Piqua, OH died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Parkway Medical Center in Decatur, AL. She was born July 14, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Arlie and Mary Elizabeth Teipen Burns. She was married to Edward Leo Johnson who preceded her in death on April 24, 2000. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, James Lee and Jo-E Johnson and Thomas Glendon and Teresa Johnson all of Moulton, AL and David Allen and Ann Johnson of Troy, OH; brother, Richard Burns of Piqua, OH; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen greatgrandchildren; and six great-greatgrandchildren; and good friend, Charles Norris of Moulton, AL. In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was preceded in death by her son, Frederick Clark Johnson; sister, Leona Martin; and brother, Robert Burns. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, Decatur, AL and former member of the First Baptist Church, Tipp City, OH. Service will be held 2:00PM Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with the Pastor Jeremy Nason officiating. Interment will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH.
