Mary Suzanne "Sue" Carlson Mary Suzanne "Sue" Carlson, age 78, of Troy, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at her residence. She was born on October 14, 1933 in Lansing, Michigan. In 1957, she married Roy Everett Carlson and he survives. In addition to her husband, Roy, Sue is survived by her four children and their spouses: Kathryn Carlson of Salem, Oregon, Kristine and Robert Bowden of Findlay, Ohio, Richard and Jennifer Carlson of Odessa, Florida and James and Michelle Carlson of Concord, North Carolina; and six grandchildren: Lindsey and Nicholas Bowden, and Andrew, Madison, Robert, and Kate Carlson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maribel Smith, and her adoptive parents, Lloyd and Bernice Wells Kater. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University where she was an Elementary Education Major. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Troy. Sue worked on the Miami County Board of Elections and was previously an elementary school teacher in Battle Creek, Michigan. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, Troy, with Rev. Dr. Richard Culp officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
