Mary Elizabeth Berchtold Mary Elizabeth Berchtold, age 97, formerly of Troy, Ohio, more recently of Fullerton, California, passed away at 6:20AM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Adam's Family Home, Yorba Linda, California. She was born on March 18, 1915 in Troy, Ohio, to the late Elmer V. and Lena Evans Weihrauch. Her husband, Bernard W. Berchtold, preceded her in death on November 14, 1980. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Richard Lamka of Fullerton, California; son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Patricia Berchtold of Akron, Ohio and Sarasota Florida; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Berchtold was preceded in death by her sister, Louise M. Rees. She was a graduate of Troy High School, Class of 1932. Mrs. Berchtold was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio and St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, Brea, California. She retired from GTE Phone Company. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with Rosary service at 7:30PM.
