Marvin E. Parks, age 93, of Troy, OH passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Genesis/Troy Care, Troy, Ohio. Marvin was born December 29, 1924 in Clark County, Ohio to the late George, Sr. and Sara (Gram) Parks.  He married Helen Louise Parks on July 28, 1950, and she preceded him in death on July 21, 2018.

Marvin is survived by daughters: Sally L. Wood of Greenwood, Indiana and Pamela S. Parks-Jimerson of Columbia, Maryland; four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his step mother, Anna Parks.

Marvin served in the US Army during WWII.   He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  Since high school, Marvin served as a Journeyman with the Dayton newspapers for 40 years.

A Celebration of Marvin's life will be held at 2PM on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
