Marvin Nelson McGrath, age 57, of Troy, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on August 17, 1965 in Dayton, to the late Nelson and Rita (Rogers) McGrath.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 37 years: Robin (McDonald) McGrath; two children: Joshua (Jamie) McGrath and Rachael (Brandon) Collins, all of Troy; granddaughter: Autumn McGrath; brother: Mark (Cynthia) McGrath of TN; sister: Melinda (Bill) Daws of GA; mother-in-law: Beverlee McDonald; father-in-law: Charles Stevens; sisters-in-law: Connie Stevens and Debi Sipe, both of OH; brother-in-law: Chuck (Lauren) Stevens of CA; many loving nieces and nephews; lifelong friend: Paul Spicer; and dear friends: Chris and Laurie Kiser.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Monte McGrath and Marty McGrath; and brother-in-law: Jerry Sipe.

Marvin's special interest was classic cars.  His latest project was his Oldsmobile 442.  Marvin enjoyed traveling and learning the history of places he visited.  He also enjoyed Blues music, going out West, visiting Las Vegas, where his favorite place was the Red Rock, and traveling the East Coast.  Marvin always put others before himself and never met a stranger.  He worked at East Penn Manufacturing for 36 years in sales.  Marvin also co-owned Submarine House Bar and Grill in Troy and Huber Heights.

Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 West Main Street, Tipp City, OH with Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating.  Family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:30 PM on Monday at the church.
