Martin Michael Lemerand, age 88, of Troy, OH, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Stillwater Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Covington, OH. He was born on July 11, 1934 in Monroe, MI to the late Ernest and Myrtle (Moyer) Lemerand.

Martin is survived by his wife: Charlene (Sponsler) Lemerand of 61 years of marriage; children: Michael M. Lemerand of Troy, OH, Laura (Jeff) McConnell of Troy, OH and Matthew M. Lemerand of Murfreesboro of TN and one grandchild.  In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his sister: Maureen Lemerand.

Martin received his M.S. degree in geography from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI.  He was a retired Junior High School teacher in Huber Heights after 34 years.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Troy, OH, VFW in Pleasant Hill, OH and the YMCA in Piqua, OH. He served in the U.S. Army as 1st LT from 1958 – 1961.

Private services will be held at a later date.
