Martha Jean "Marty" Timko, age 88, of Troy, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on December 18, 2022 at home.  She was born on August 24, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Paul N. and Frances M. (Jones) Andreas.  She married Eugene Willard "Gene" Timko on June 25, 1955 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2011.

Marty is survived by her five children and their spouses: Phil and Dawn Timko of West Milton, Ohio; Ann Timko Gay of Lombard, Illinois; Gary M. Timko of Columbus, Ohio; Mary M. and Jeff Ely of Gahanna, Ohio and Elizabeth and Randall Hildreth of Pinellas Park, Florida; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Marty was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a Registered Nurse with Stouder Memorial Hospital in Troy where she worked in the OB/GYN department assisting with the birth of hundreds of babies over her 25 years of service.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Miami County Right for Life, YMCA, St. Vincent DePaul and the St. Francis Hospital Alumni.  Marty was selfless in her care and generosity to her neighbors and friends with numerous gifts of kindness.  She was also a prayer warrior for many.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00PM on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
