Martha J. Gretzinger, 79 of Troy passed away Friday July 4, 2003 at the Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy following a brief illness. She was born December 2, 1923 in Cloverport, KY to the late Allen and Ruth Martin Jennings. She is survived by 2 sons and daughter-in-laws Ralph E. and Jewel Gretzinger of Plano, TX and Jack and Jeanette Gretzinger of Christiansburg, Ohio; 2 daughters and son-in-law Nancy K. Gretzinger of Gilbert, AZ and Mary and Doug Clevenger of Troy; 7 grandchildren JC and Katie Clevenger, Ned and Sara Gretzinger, Meg Gretzinger, Jason and Jeremy Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Gretzinger Jr. in 1981, a granddaughter Rebecca Marie Gretzinger, and 2 sisters Glenna Kathryn Watts and Nancy Ross Broadwater. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Troy Elks Club. She retired in 1991 from the Ohio Department of Education after over 20 years of service. Memorial services will be Wednesday July 9, 2003 @ 10:00AM with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Brunner officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call on the family Tuesday July 8, 2003 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County.
