Mark Edwin Ward, 58 of Casstown, Ohio died Saturday June 12, 2010 at 2:23AM at his residence after a 7 month battle with lung cancer. He was born January 21, 1952 in Troy, Ohio to Edwina Schaefer Ward and the late Merlin "Ray" Ward. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Cindy Gladman Ward; daughters Mindy Ward of Casstown and Shelbi Ward Cassel Jon of Washington State; son Dwaine Ward of New Carlisle; brothers Douglas Ward Paulette of Dayton and Dan Ward late Carolyn Ward of Casstown; sister Carolyn Youngerman of Rockford, IL; 5 Grandchildren Ian, Ani, Emma, Olivia and Buckeye. He was preceded in death by his father in 2008 and a brother Dennis "Butch" Ward. Mark was a 1971 Graduate of Miami East High School and a member of MCAPA Miami County Antique Power Association. He was a janitor at Miami East High School the last 29 years and operated Mark Ward and Son Cleaning and Hauling. Funeral services will be Thursday June 17, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy. Burial will follow at Casstown Cemetery.
