Mark William Bluthardt, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, at Troy Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, where he had resided for several years. He was preceded in death by his father, William Bluthardt, and his mother, Zella Bluthardt. He is survived by his sister, Olive Wagar, of Troy, OH, as well as by numerous relatives in West Virginia, Florida, New York, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, and Texas. Mark lived most of his life in Troy and was a 1971 graduate of Troy High School. He received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force. He worked at Hobart Brothers, Meijer Distribution, Spring Hill Nursery, and Troy Daily News. He also received a degree from Miami Jacobs. He was a past member and officer of the Troy Eagles #971. He was a member of Mid-County Church of Christ.

Mark enjoyed the wonderful variety of engaging activities at Troy Care, especially the music programs, where he always sat in the front row. He became quite good at creating colorful artwork. He had a great smile, a hearty laugh, a friendly handshake, and time to talk to everyone. He enjoyed bowling and cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, especially when they played the Pittsburgh Steelers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mid-County Church of Christ, 1580 N. Dorset Rd, with Ralph Royse conducting the service. Visitation will be at Noon, with the service to follow at 1 pm. Donations in memory of Mark may be made to the Troy Care Activities Department, 512 Crescent Drive, Troy OH 45373.
