Marjorie L. Mott Widener, 89, passed out of this life on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the Sterling House in Troy, Ohio. She was born on December 20, 1914 in Troy, Ohio to the late Harley J. and Alta E. Baker Mott. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lauren R. Widener in 1963. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law; Janice I and Bill Frank of Troy, Ohio; Charlotte A. Gheen of Venice, Florida and one son, Dale E. Widener of Lima, Ohio. One brother and sister-in-law; William H. and Marge Mott of Troy, Ohio also survive. She has six grandchildren; Scott Frank of Covington, Ohio; Chris and Sally Widener of Springfield, Ohio; Kathy and Tim Frank of Centerville, Ohio; Wanda and Lee Myers of St. Paris, Ohio; Amy and Gary Donaldson of Lakewood, Wisc.; and Bryan Gheen of North Carolina. She also has ten great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband preceeding her in death is a grandson, Andy Jack Gheen. She was a lifetime member of Cove Spring Church where she had served as treasurer. She was the pianist and organist for over 50 years at the church. She devoted her whole life to serving as historian and secretary for the Mott and Baker Family reunions for over 75 years. She was a 1932 graduate of Elizabeth School. She taught piano and organ in her home for many years. The Rev. Paul Calvert will be officiating the service. Contributions may be made to the Cove Springs Memorial Fund.
