Marjorie Louise Honeyman, 64, formerly of Troy, departed this life to be with the Lord on May 19, 2006 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby, NC, after battling breast cancer for 2 and a half years. She was born in Troy, OH, on September 27, 1941, the daughter of the late Ralph and Leona Studebaker Becker. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Harold of over 47 years. Other survivors are her son and his wife, Tony and Debra Honeyman of Lattimore, NC; grandchildren, Philip Honeyman and wife, Patricia, of Lawndale, NC, Elizabeth Crotts and husband, Russell, of Ellensboro, NC and Erica Autry of Lattimore, NC; Great grandchildren, Ethan Honeyman, Emma Crotts, Raymond and Madison Autry; two sisters, Barbara McIntosh of Xenia, OH and Shirley Lucas and husband, William, of Ft. Jennings, OH. One aunt, Virginia Oakes of Piqua, OH; numerous cousins, extended church family and many friends in Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina. She attended the Troy schools and had been employed at Spring Hill Nursery in Tipp City, OH, Stouder Memorial Hospital and Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Upon retirement they moved to Cheboygan, MI, in 2001, and then moved to Lattimore, NC in November 2005 to be near their family. When living in Troy, Margie and her husband, Harold, were very active at the Troy Baptist Temple, Troy., and also in the Mackinaw City Bible Church in Mackinaw City, MI. In North Carolina she was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Lattimore, NC. Services will be held at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy on Tuesday, May 23rd. Viewing will be at 12:30 PM and service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Rick Arrowood of the Troy Baptist Temple; Pastor Henry Nichols Jr. of Victory Baptist Church, Lattimore, NC and Pastor Reid Nelson of Mackinaw City Bible Church, Mackinaw City, MI, will be conducting the services. Burial will be in the Miami Memorial Gardens Cemetery, north of Covington, Ohio following the service. P.S.
