Marion Taylor, 78, of Casstown, Ohio and formerly of Troy, Ohio died on Friday, November 4, 2005 at the Kettering Medical Center. He was born on February 24, 1927 in Staunton Township, Miami County, Ohio to the late Joseph Paul and Rosa Ellen Bowman Taylor. He married Mary Frances Gates, and she precedes him in death. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law; Debby and Tom Cooper of Casstown, Ohio; special friend, Ada McGinnis of West Milton, OH; brother, Clifton Taylor of Troy, OH; sister, Jeanette Taylor of Troy, OH; two grandchildren, Tracy and Jason Frock of Troy, OH; Travis Cooper of Casstown, OH; and two great-grandchildren, Gretchen and Delaney Frock. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; six brothers, Ellsworth; Edward; Kenneth; Robert; Bernard; and Ira Taylor; seven sisters, Cora Miller; Margaret Brandenburg; Catherine Cool; Leslia Pinkerton; Helen Landis; Evelyn Miller and Patricia Ely. He was a member of the Troy Fish and Game and Troy Moose Lodge; US Army Veteran of WWII; a wonderful dad, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved farming and enjoyed old tractors and spending time with his tonk and bingo buddies. He retired as a job setter at AO Smith after 40 years of service. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 10:30AM at the Baird Funeral Home with Rev. John Yardley officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Ohio. Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 from 4-8PM at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
