Marilyn Kay Dearth, age 76, of Troy, OH passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, OH. She was born on April 12, 1938 in Piqua, OH to the late Ray O. and Alyce Bernice (Kisling) Walker. Marilyn married George Dearth on June 16, 1963 in Piqua and he survives. Marilyn is also survived by her son: Jonathan Walker Dearth of Troy; daughters and son-in-law: Jennifer Anne Dearth of Columbus and Rebecca Lynn and Thomas Confroy of Piqua; grandson: Thomas Christopher Confroy and granddaughter: Katherine Elizabeth Confroy. Marilyn was a 1956 graduate of Piqua High School and a 1960 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Marilyn was an educator with the Piqua and Troy City Schools during her 30 years in education. Marilyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Troy. She was also a member of the American Association University Women, the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority Alumni, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, Pins to Prom Mother's Club, the Grandmother's Club, Piqua High School card club, and several local book clubs. Services will be held 10:30AM on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with the Rev. Dave Leckrone officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH.
