Marilyn J. Overholser died unexpectedly at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy on Sunday, May 27,2001. She is survived by her husband, Gerald D. Overholser; daugther and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Voss of Palm Harbor,FL; sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Suzie Overholser of Troy; Marty Overholser of Troy; brother and sister-in-law, William D. and Sally Chase of Louden, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bruce Davidson of Troy; grandchildren - Dustin, Derik, Mandy and Marc Overholser; Amy and Melanie Voss; and a great grandson, Dakota Howell. She was preceded in death by her parents, G. Edward and Neva Pearson Chase. Mrs. Overholser was a member of First United Church of Christ, Troy; member of Troy Senior Citzens; volunteer at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy; past chairman of Strawberry Ball; Past member of the Troy Beautification Committee. She was a graduate of Troy High School where she was the first homecoming queen. Mrs. Overholser retired in 1984 as Branch Manager of Peoples Savings Bank after 16 years of service.
