MARIE E. MCDANIEL TROSTEL

Marie E. McDaniel Trostel, age 86, of Troy, OH went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11, 2014. She was born on January 15, 1928 in Houston, OH to the late Lee Earl and Virginia Elnora (Ford) Jess. She was married to Jack E. McDaniel and he preceded her in death in 1986. Marie was then married to Donald Trostel for 18 years and he survives.

Marie is survived by her present husband of 18 years of marriage, Donald I. Trostel; son and daughter-in-law: Jack G. and Charlotte McDaniel of Troy; daughter and son-in-law:  Tina M. and David Wagner of Troy; brother: Robert Jess of Piqua; grandchildren: Angela (Greg) Dilts of Troy; Amy (Michael) Kahre of Troy; Arika Wagner of Troy; Meagan McKinney of Troy; Colton McKinney of Troy; Andrew Dilts of Pleasant Hill; Ashlyn and Adria Kahre; and stepsons: David (Valerie) Trostel of Urbana and Daniel Trostel of Urbana.

In addition to her parents and her first husband, Marie was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, William, Vernon, Harold, Raymond and Junior Jess and sisters, Dorothy Epperly and Martha Benning.

Marie attended the Cove Spring Church. She was a member of the Troy Senior Citizens. She was previously active with Stetsun Traveling Square Dancers. Marie was a former employee of Braun Brothers/Dinner Bell for over 40 years.

With Marie's passing friends and family have lost a warm, loving, gentle person. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with the Pastor Greg Morrow officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
