MARIAN G. GOODIN, age 91, of Casstown, OH passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Brookdale of Troy.  She was born on August 15, 1926 in Jackson Center, OH to the late H. C. and Grace (Allen) Hughes.  Her husband, Richard E. Goodin, preceded her in death on April 21, 1997.

Marian is survived by two daughters: Shirley Neuhard of Tipp City, OH and Nancy (James) Brumbaugh of Casstown, OH; two grandchildren: Jessica (Michael) Thompson of Miamisburg, OH and Jason (Jamie) Brumbaugh of Troy, OH; eight great grandchildren: Danny, Ryan, Noah and Hayley Roush, Syriha, Vyera and Zander Thompson and Karter Brumbaugh; and six great great grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy Pepper and Almira Miller; and one granddaughter: Trisha Roush.

Marian was a 1944 graduate of Lost Creek High School.  She attended The Ohio State University.  Marian had been a member of Casstown United Methodist Church in Casstown, OH since 1940.  She was a member of United Methodist Church Women and held various offices at the church, as well as being church historian and a Bible School Teacher.  Marian was also a member of Troy Senior Citizens, Classic Ladies Club, Elizabeth Township Homemakers Association, Elizabeth Township Historical Society and Elizabeth Township Community Center.  She served on the Republican Central Committee for many years.  Marian served as Precinct Committee Chairman for Elizabeth Township for 25+ years.  She worked at the Miami County Courthouse, was owner/operator of Cage Layer Chicken Business and managed two farms with her late husband, Richard.  Marian loved taking care of her yard and shopping, but her life really revolved around her church and family.

Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Baird Funeral Home in Troy, OH.  Burial will follow in Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH.  Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
