Margaret Anne McCurdy Vesper Margaret Anne McCurdy Vesper, age 82, of Troy, Ohio died at 1:00PM on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. She was born on May 23, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to the late William and May Westfall McCurdy. Her husband, Dale L. Vesper, preceded her in death on June 12, 2001. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Leslie A. Vesper of Goodland, Kansas and Julia and Joseph Potter of Troy; brother-in-law, Richard Waters of California; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, William Carl Vesper and sister, Patricia McCurdy Waters. Margaret attended the Ohio State University. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Troy and the first female member of the Troy Emergency Crew. For many years, she worked for the American Red Cross, Miami and Shelby County Chapter. A service will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with private interment at Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 1-3:00PM at the funeral home.
