Margaret E. Mencsik, 88, died at Harborside Healthcare, Troy, Ohio on Thursdday, November 20, 2003. Mrs. Mencsik is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Charles J. and Rita Mencsik, Jr. of Troy, Ohio; Fr. John C. Mencsik, C.P.P.S. of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; James J. and Barbara Mencsik of Troy, Ohio; five granddaughters, Nikki, Heather and Angie Mencsik; Becky and Gary Kesler and Cathy and Jesse Lucas; three great grandchildren, Mason, Chase and Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Mencsik in 1963; her parents, Frances and Susanne Dorok Virag; and one brother, John Virag. Mrs. Mencsik was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, Ohio and St. Joann's Auxiliary. She attended Our Lady of the Rosary and Julienne High School, Dayton, Ohio. Mrs. Mencsik was a cook at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, school and rectory for 30 years. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Friday, November 21 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy, Ohio with a Rosary at 7:30PM. A mass will be held at 9:00AM Saturday, November 22, 2003 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. John C. Mencsik officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or donor's favorite charity.
