Margaret R. "Marge" McCaffrey Margaret R. "Marge" McCaffrey, age 96, of Troy, Ohio passed away at 5:05PM on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Troy Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 2, 1917 in Churchtown, Ohio, to the late Frank and Mary Dyer McDermott. She married Robert J. McCaffrey in March of 1941 and they were married for 68 years before he preceded her in death on August 10, 2009. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Penny McCaffrey of Stuart, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Dr. John Knab of Great Falls, Virginia, Peggy and Jim Barr of Troy, Ohio, and Jane Concannon of Cincinnati, Ohio; eleven grandchildren: Dr. Molly Dr. Dave McCaffrey, Katie Dr. Chris Brandt, David Rebekah Knab, Dr. Brian Allison Knab, Julie Knab, Jim Sheri Barr, Amy Flynn Galbraith, Thomas Dale Barr, Kelly Sue Todd Blair, Patrick Concannon, and Cara Concannon; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters. Mrs. McCaffrey had been a resident of Troy since 1979 and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, and the Troy Senior Citizens. She also served as a volunteer for the Troy Hayner Cultural Center. She worked as a registered nurse with Stouder Memorial Hospital in Troy and also in Lexington, Kentucky. Margaret was a loving, kind mother, devoted to her church and her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Friends may call from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Wednesday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with a Rosary Service at 7:45PM on Wednesday.
