Margaret Geneva ''Granny'' Carr, 82 of Troy, died Monday, May 5, 2003 at Koester Pavilion. She was born in Pike County, Ohio on March 19, 1921 to the late Alfred and Carrie Allen Crabtree. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. On Decemer 27, 1946, she married David Carr in Greenup, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on Mach 30, 1988, but never left her heart. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beulah and Calvin Lambert of Troy; two brothers-in-law, Robert Lambert of Waverly, Ohio and Butler Carr on New Albany, Indiana and many nieces and nephews. One special nephew, Richard McBee of Waverly, Ohio was like a son to her. She is also survived by one grandson, David Carr Lambert and one great granddaughter, Ciara Lambert the two people who gave her the joy of being ''Granny''. She worked most of her life to take care of other people, but was most happy in her 31 years at the Gables in Troy and her many friendships there. Friends may call at Baird Funeral Home from 5-8pm Wednesday, May 7. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 12 noon Thursday, May with her grandson, David Lambert officiating. Intement will follow in Casstown. Memorial contributions may be given to donor's choice of charity.
