Marcia A. Whiteford, age 78, of Troy, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.  She was born on October 22, 1943, in Piqua, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her adopted parents: Scott and Helen (Scudder) Powell.

Marcia is survived by her husband of 34 years: James R. Whiteford; two children: Scott (Tammy) Walkup and Lori Walkup Green, both of Troy; and seven grandchildren: Jade (Thai) Do, Evan (Jenny) Benjamin, Christopher Walkup, Zach (Lauren) Walkup, Noah (Megin) Walkup and Jessie (Ben) Johnson; great-grandchildren: Austin and Evan Johnson, Caleb and Cole Walkup, Mason Walkup.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Tracy Walkup.

Marcia was a graduate of both Miami East High School and Continental Beauty School in Piqua.  She was a cosmetologist/beautician at several local salons.

Private family gathering will be held at a later date.
