Marcella A. Ledford, age 81, of Apple Valley, MN, formerly of Troy, OH. Died Tuesday April 16, 2002 in Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, MN. She was born on May 27, 1920 the daughter of Frederick & Margaret Wortkoetter Thiel who preced her in death. Survivors include Four children, Janice Alfred Behnken of Dayton, OH; Suzanne Ledford of Troy, OH; Cynthia Randy Blaiser of Apple Valley, MN; Robert Joseph Ledford Jr. of California. A sister, Lucille Otto Beebe of Toledo, OH; brothers, Paul June Thiel of Bryan, OH & James Rosie Thiel of Blakeslee, OH. Eight Grandchildren; five Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Jospeh Ledford, Sr. in 1978; brothers, Louis Thiel, Donald Thiel and special friend, Ernest W, Thornhill. Mrs. Ledford was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Troy, OH and the Third Order of Mary. She retired as a Home Health Aid w/ Montgomery County Visiting Nurses. Mrs. Ledfords body was donated to the University of Minnesota Medical School. Contributions can be made to a favorite charity in her memory.
