Mae Marie Slack, 76, of Troy, died Friday, June 16, 2000 in the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Slack Sr., in 1994; her parents, William and Ivy Berry Boyer; and three brothers, Lyman Boyer, Leroy Boyer and William Boyer.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William H. Jr., and Kathy Slack of Troy; one daughter, Beverly M. Slack of Huber Heights; two grandchildren, Kimberly Heim and Sean Slack Jr., both of Troy; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Slack also is survived by six sisters, Minnie Helman of West Milton, Dorothy Beard of Ludlow Falls, Margie Day of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Mary Adams, Mabel Jackson and Betty Trostel, all of Troy; and three borthers, Nelson Boyer, Willis Boyer and August Boyer, all of Troy.

Born June 5, 1924 in Tipp City, she was a member of the First United Church of Christ Women's Fellowship, Order of Eastern Star #256 in Troy and the Troy Alturian Club.

Services will be held a 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, with the Associate Barbara Winston officiating.  Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
